Toshe Proeski (25th January 1981– 16th October 2007) for a short period, was the most popular singer in Macedonia and one of the biggest stars on the Balkan music scene.
In 2004 he was proclaimed for Goodwill ambassador of UNCIEF. He died tragically in a car accident. Posthumously he was proclaimed as honored citizen of Macedonia.
Krushevo, his birthplace, repaid him by opening the memorial house on the 25th of April 2011. The object is constructed by concrete and glass in a form of a cross covering an area of 870 square meters. The museum lectern provides chronological image of the childhood and teenage years till the period when Toshe reached the top of his career, enriched with 350 authentic personal things, in ownership of the Proeski family. Prayer is established in the central part, as well as religious items of Toshe and several written thoughts for love, family and friendship.
Two wax figures of Toshe in natural size are part of the lectern. The entire object is equipped by modern technique, and information for the music legend may be found at several touch info-points. Along the object a wall was built where messages and impressions may be written.
The object is consisted of several hanging platforms including panorama of Krushevo and the Makedonium.
